FIELD NOTES / TOOL GUIDE

Read the item. Record the evidence.

A Probably Stolen tool guide. A practical inspection workflow that keeps authenticity, usability and prices separate.

Start with the build

Copy your Probably Stolen build before comparing observations. A Demo manual is a useful checklist, but it is not proof of a 1.0 valuation rule.

Inspect one feature at a time

Use the item-specific checklist to record markings, visible damage and attachments. A checked box means you inspected a feature. It does not certify the item.

Keep three price fields

Record the appraisal-service value, your purchase price and the ordinary sale price separately. Do not infer one from another or replace an unknown value with zero.

A formula needs repeatable evidence

Before adding a Probably Stolen valuation rule, test its base value, adjustments, combinations, rounding and exceptions against a named build. Until then, retain the observations and leave the calculated value unknown.
